Ego Check

In becoming a mature leader, one thing we must never forget is that we must always remain teachable. Don’t always be the smartest person in every room. One person said “When one’s ego shows up, the teacher has to leave the room.” When we stop being teachable, we stop growing. Stagnation and complacency is a sign of ego, which then shows that one is immature. So finding a room where we’re not the smartest, and checking our ego at the door, are the steps we must take in order to become a mature leader.
