“Peace,” one of the Fruits of the Spirit, is today’s focus in our series “The Evidence.” Dariel Cummins talks about the difference between a Peacemaker and a Peacekeeper. A peacekeeper often works to maintain peace, preventing conflict from escalating but not necessarily addressing the root causes. A peacemaker initiates the resolution of conflict, much like Jesus calming the storm in the boat with His disciples. To model ourselves after Jesus as peacemakers, we can actively seek to understand differences and address underlying problems.
